GENERAL MATERIAL TESTING
Material Testing consists of testing coupons of the material to be evaluated. Typically, our testing is to develop FAA-approved Mil-Hdbk-17 A and B Basis allowables. In this type of program, several coupons are tested and statistical analysis is performed on the data to yield the A and B Basis allowables.
Lot and batch testing are performed to validate the material properties of a lot or batch of material.
Material testing can consist of tensile, shear, bearing, bending, peel, impact and combinations of these loadings.
