We utilize traditional closed form analysis (hand analysis) as well as mathematical simulation using NASTRAN FEA. We have learned that the decision on the proper analysis methodology is highly dependent on the task complexity. Whenever possible, closed form solutions are utilized as their objective, methods, and boundary conditions are well understood and accepted by the industry.
